21 key pieces for your wardrobe

When it comes to wardrobe - less is more. It took me some time to come to this, but if you invest in key pieces in your wardrobe then you will save yourself a lot of time and... well, money.

Here is my list of key investment pieces:

1. The Jeans - blue (classic fit) and black (skinny fit)
2. The ballet pumps
3. The Breton top
4. The trench
5. The white tee
6. The little black dress
7. The grey marl sweatshirt
8. The pencil skirt
9. The court shoes
10. The statement scarf
11. The It bag
12. The white boyfriend shirt
13. The ankle boots
14. The chronograph watch
15. The day to evening clutch
16. The black or navy cashmere sweater
17. The gloves
18. The evening dress
19. The classic coat
20. The leather jacket
21. The blazer

This list is by no means exhaustive. But investing in these pieces will provide you with  lot of combinations that are timeless and never go out of style.

Clothes should be worn with a sense of "easiness" to them. They shouldn't be loud (and when I say "loud" I mean the clothes shouldn't "scream" labels), but the quality of the clothes should speak for itself. Nothing too tight (remember tight=cheap) and nothing too shapeless (follow this simple rule: loose top+fitted bottom and vice versa). And don't overdo accessories and jewelry.

Here are some of the combinations that work:

20 + 5 + 1 + 10 + 13 + 11 =

4 + 1 + 13 +11 + 12 =

8 + 16 + 9 + 15 =

19 + 3 + 15 + 1 + 9 =

The amount of outfits you can create with these pieces is endless and with a little creativity you basically can create an outfit for any occasion.
